Payment Methods: What types of payment do you accept?
VISA, MasterCard, Discover, Amex, PayPal Credit, Affirm and Paper Check. Receive a 2% discount when you pay with a personal check or bank check (cashier’s check). All check types are subject to a clearing period of 5 business days prior to order shipment.
Free Shipping: Is shipping free within the lower 48 states? AK/HI?
Yes! We offer FREE SHIPPING within the lower 48 states with considerable fees.
Shipping Time: How long will it take for my outboard to arrive?
Shipping time will vary depending on location (typical transit time is 3-7 business days.
Tracking Info: How is tracking information provided?
Tracking information is provided via email, typically within 24-48 hours of your order being placed online. The tracking information will be located on your final receipt/invoice.
Freight Damage: What do I do if my outboard is damaged in transit?
Freight and shipping damage shall be reported to CWS within three (3) calendar days of receipt of goods. It is the purchaser/customer responsibility to note any damage before signing the delivery receipt. If damage has occurred to the outboard, purchaser shall make note of such before signing for delivery. Customer shall not refuse delivery of the outboard based on damage. In the event of shipping or freight damage, customer shall keep and safeguard all factory packaging, including, but not limited to, all external packaging, all internal styrofoam, bubble wrap, and cardboard supports. In the event a product was damaged during shipment and proper and timely notification was given to CWS, CWS will file a damage claim with the carrier. Damage or loss of goods that are outside the control of CWS is not to be considered basis for waiver of the cancellation and refused shipments provision contained herein.
Shipping Outside U.S.: Do you ship outside the U.S.?
We are able to ship inside the U.S. 50 states per manufacturer guidelines and outside to Europe Asia and other contries.
Warranty Registration Card: What is your Dealer Code/Name?
Your new outboard will include a warranty registration card in the box. This form should be completed and mailed back to the manufacturer. You will need the following information to complete the card: Dealer Name: CWS/Outboardsales Dealer Code: 114TN Note: Pre-delivery inspection forms do NOT need to be completed for outboards below 25hp. Outboards 30hp and smaller are factory tank tested prior to being crated. CWS will register the warranty for your outboard for the following manufacturers: Mercury, Suzuki, Honda.
Trade-Ins: Do you accept trade-ins?
No. Sorry, we do not accept trade-ins outside of our own local market. Due to shipping costs, it is nearly impossible to run a successful trade-in operation. Selling your engine outright will generally yield higher returns and there is no wasted shipping cost.
Used/Non-Current: Do you sell used or non-current outboards?
Yes. We sell only brand new current and old model year outboards. On rare occasion we may have a non-current during a model year change, if this was the case, a sale would be clearly posted on our home page.
